VSC School Seminar: A guided tour of algorithms for numerical linear algebra in HPC

We will provide an overview of important algorithms and algorithmic kernels for numerical linear algebra in High Performance Computing. The overview will include various prototypical numerical linear algebra problems, but the main focus will be on solvers for large linear systems of equations and on solvers for large eigenvalue problems, both for the dense and the sparse case. We will not only discuss performance aspects, but also consider numerical accuracy as well as the influence of input data properties.
